    NEWBRIDGE-ON-WYE CHURCH IN WALES SCHOOL

    LITERACY EVENT

    TUESDAY, 21st OCTOBER

    Short presentation by members of staff

    followed by demonstrations by staff and pupils of

    literacy activities.

    Start time 3.45 p.m.

    The presentation will conclude at approximately

    4.30 p.m. with an informal meeting where you can meet your child’s teacher and browse their work.

    YOUNG JOURNALISTS CLUB
    YOUNG JOURNALISTS CLUB 

    Our new young Journalists Millie Samuel, Jack Bradley and Kelyn Williams met on Monday to plan the diary for the next half term. They have secured speakers for the  next five weeks and would like to invite any interested children to join their Club on a Monday from 3.30 to 4.30 p.m. 

    Week 1 15th September - Lorraine Jenkin - Writing a book 
    Week 2 22nd September - Mr Adam Shearman - Websites 
    Week 3 29th September - Mrs Seargeant - Newsletters 
    Week 4 6th October - Mr Phil Bowen -Willow Theatre 
    Week 5 13th October  - Mrs Josephine Davies - Book shops/Mr Husson - Photo Journalism

    COLLECTION OXFAM 
    Want to give your old, unwanted books a new home? By donating your old, unwanted books to Oxfam, you are giving them a new home and helping other children and families get clean water and animals for food and produce, so please help us out and give your old books a new home. Please bring your old, unwanted books to the school where we have a collection box.
